Prime Video has unveiled the main official trailer for Carrie, a new horror miniseries based on Stephen King’s iconic 1974 novel. Created by acclaimed genre filmmaker Mike Flanagan, the series takes audiences back into the terrifying world of Carrie White, the painfully shy teenager whose extraordinary telekinetic abilities begin to emerge as her already difficult life spirals out of control. The trailer promises a darker, more contemporary take on the familiar story, bringing teenage cruelty, social media and psychological horror into the mix.

Newcomer Summer H. Howell takes on the challenging role of Carrie, a misfit who has spent most of her life isolated inside her home under the watchful eye of her fiercely protective mother, Margaret, played by Samantha Sloyan. Carrie’s sheltered existence begins to collapse after the sudden death of her father forces her into the unforgiving world of public high school.
